Members of the Chamber of Commerce have the opportunity to invite the Chamber Ambassadors to the their place of business and have a ribbon cutting or ground breaking to celebrate new business, services, goods, locations and renovations. Contact Sam Manka for more information.

Greater Burlington Partnership Newsletter - The Experience
The monthly publication for the Greater Burlington Partnership keeps you and your employees up to date with news stories, events, marketing options and community information in a 16 page color magazine. Advertising costs are found in the contract.

Members may also submit information for free each month that is highlighted on page 13 of each issue. Information can be sent to Brenda Wischmeier.

Community Guide
Is distributed throughout the United States to visitors, relocation requests and locally at area hotels, restaurants and by service professionals. Contact Beth Nickel for more information.

Annual Dinner and Fundraiser
The Annual Dinner and Fundraiser is a fun filled night with dinner, award presentations, a raffle and silent auction. A table sponsorships are available which includes advertising at the Annual Dinner, reserved seating and eight tickets. The venue changes each year. Invites are mailed out in advance. Eggs N Issues
Chamber of Commerce members are invited for a small group discussion with legislators including Representatives Dennis Cohoon and Tom Sands and Senator Tom Courtney for a discussion on the issues concerning the Great River Region. Eggs & Issues will help our legislators understand the business community's state and regional issues for the upcoming year. Eggs N Issues is held at 7:15 a.m. on third Saturday of the month January through April. Contact Brenda Levitt for more information.

Great River Region Days
Representatives from Southeast Iowa will return to Des Moines and Washington, D.C. to carry legislative priorities for the region to State Representatives, State Senators and key department personnel. Key issues being taken to Des Moines this year include property tax reform, the Ft. Madison Prison, Right to Work, workforce attraction and development and transportation issues. Small Business Appreciation Breakfast
May 7 - Any business with fewer than 100 employees is considered a small business. Those small businesses make up over 80% of the membership in the Burlington/West Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce. Each year in May, small businesses are recognized at the breakfast with awards and a keynote speaker is featured. Contact Brenda for more information. as, and accessing financial resources. Port of Burlington Friday Fest
This Friday after-hours celebration brings a variety of live music, food and fun to the Port of Burlington! Dates in 2009 are May 28, July 9, July 30, August 13, September 3, and September 24. Admission is FREE! Contact Jaime Howard for more information.

Riverfront Farmers' Market
Thursdays: May 6 - October 28 at the Port of Burlington. From 5-8 p.m. Fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, bedding plants, flowers, crafts, live music, hot food and much more! Contact Steve Frevert for more information.

28th Annual Snake Alley Criterium
May 28-29 - Voted the 5th Best Criterium in the U.S. by a national cycling magazine, the weekend of racing excitement gets under way with the 80-mile Burlington Road Race. On Saturday, watch top cyclists from throughout the world as they race up Snake Alley. Contact Steve Frevert for more information.

Heritage Days
September 24-25 - In its 23nd year, come and enjoy live music, lots of family activities, great food and historical demonstrations during this fun-filled celebration of our community's rich, multiethnic heritage held in downtown Burlington. CBA Golf Classic

Manufacturer's Appreciation Luncheon
October 8 - The Greater Burlington Area has a number of Manufacturer's who employ thousands of workers and helps stimulate our local economy. The Luncheon, held each October, focuses on those companies and the successes they have throughout the year. A Manufacturer of the Year is awarded in addition to recycling awards.
