Greater Burlington Partnership Newsletter
The monthly publication for the Greater Burlington Partnership keeps you and your employees up to date with news stories, events, marketing options and community information in a 16 page color magazine. Each subscription is a $48.00 value.

Friday Facts
A weekly marketing tool features upcoming events through the Chamber of Commerce and its members. It is emailed to all members.

Chamber Bucks
Chamber Bucks are a great way to shop locally. They are gift certificates that can be spent at member businesses. Retail and Service based members are listed in the "Chamber Buck Buying Guide" which is given to anyone buying Chamber Bucks.

Ribbon Cuttings and Ground Breakings
Members of the Chamber of Commerce have the opportunity to invite the Chamber Ambassadors to the their place of business and have a ribbon cutting or ground breaking to celebrate new business, services, goods, locations and renovations. Contact Kay for more information.

Member Information
Member information can be purchased by other members for the use of marketing and/or direct mail. The information will be sold as labels, lists, or an electronic version. Contact Tricia for more information.

Bulk Mail Permit Use
As a benefit of your membership, you can use the Bulk Mail Permit from the Burlington/West Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce for your Direct Mail Pieces. Contact Tricia for more information.

Meeting Room Availability
As a benefit of you membership, you can use the Winegard Board Room, Johnson Conference Room or Alliant Energy Executive Conference Room at the Burlington/West Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce. Contact Beth for more information.

Legislative Voice
Your membership is with an organization that serves as the primary and most influential business advocate in our community. The Chamber uses the power of its members to advocate in their behalf.

Notary Public
Members who need documents authenticated can use the Notary on staff at not charge. Contact Brenda for more information.

Certificates of Origin
Some destinations require a Certificate of Origin (CO) for certain commodities. The purpose of the CO is to authenticate the country of origin of the merchandise being shipped. This form requires the authorized signature of the local Chamber of Commerce Administrative Assistant and the seal of that organization. Contact Brenda for more information.

Tax Deductibility
Membership dues in the Burlington/West Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce may be tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense.

Community Recognition
Membership plaques and static cling door seals displayed at your place of business identifies you as an investor in the Chamber and in our Community.

New Member Luncheons
New Member Luncheons are held twice a year and offer our newest members an orientation to the Greater Burlington Partnership, the opportunity to promote their business, network with other new members, current members, Chamber staff, Board Members and Ambassadors.

A variety of community facts and figures are maintained by the Chamber of Commerce. Items such as Demographics, Community Quick Reference, Cost of Living, and a Worship Directory are featured.

Community Calendar
The Community Calendar of Events features member and non member events that are held throughout Des Moines County and is distributed through our website and visitor requests. To submit your information contact Tricia.

Legislative Voice

Community & Visitor Information
In partnership with the Greater Burlington Convention and Visitors Bureau over 60,000 printed copies of the Community Guide are distributed to numerous visitors throughout the country in addition to the website features. Additional information is distributed through tradeshows, email and office visits.
