15 - Open House for Aldo Leopold Middle School
The Burlington Community School District will hold a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on from 3 to 5 pm at the new Aldo Leopold School located at 3075 Sunnyside Ave. The celebration will take place outside the main entrance. The new school is named after Burlington native, Aldo Leopold, the country’s first environmentalist. A member of the Leopold family will speak briefly at the dedication. This event is open to the public.

This class will take place at the Burlington Library, 210 Court Street, Meeting Room B at 9:30 AM. This is your opportunity to learn more about Geocaching. This will be a basic, beginner’s class to introduce people to the sport of geocaching. Learn what Geocaching is, who plays this adventure game/sport. Learn how to search for cache information, load coordinates into your GPS, go outdoors to find the geocaches, and then how to log the cache your adventure. There will be a limited number of GPS units available for those people wanting to try using one to find a geocache.
