The Hetta Gilbert Sale was started in 1959 to honor Hetta Gilbert, a long-time Burlington resident who used her status and wealth to help others. Used items in good condition are donated by the society’s more than 120 members and their neighbors, relatives, and friends. Proceeds from the sale are used to help with the basic health-care needs of needy Des Moines County children, including medical, dental,and vision services. The sale will run from 9 AM - 7 PM.
