The RecPlex features tournament-class facilities for soccer, softball, sand volleyball, and a guest services building including a restaurant and spectator plazas. Part of the State Preserves System, this forested area contains limestone bluffs, three caves, prairie remnants and some endangered plant species. The Nature Center offers hands on displays and scheduled activities including folk concerts and environmental education programs. Cross Country Ski's are available for rent during the winter months

Opened in 1895, these parks cover more than 100 acres of the west bank of the Mississippi River. Come enjoy a leisurely walk around Lake Starker or throw out a blanket for a picnic under one of the many species of trees. A comprehensive listing of trees in this nationally-known arboretum is available at the park office in Dankwardt Park. These parks also feature ball diamonds, swimming pool, tennis courts, roller hockey rink, horse-shoe area, disc golf course, BMX track and miles of trails.
